Woah, Baby! Watch Bill Dunlap Go For The Wildest Top Fuel Dragster Ride At The 2015 March Meet – Centerline To Wall At 200+

Bill Dunlap and the High Speed Motorsports squad are among the the most respected nostalgia top fuel teams out there. These guys race all over the country and they have the parts, pieces, and performance to win wherever they are. At the 2015 March Meet, Dunlap had to call on all his years of experience to avoid what could have been a horrendous high speed wreck at Famoso. As you will see in this video, Dunlap was opposite March Meet runner up Adam Sorokin and from the second he mashed the gas, things were a handful.

The car immediately makes a move to the center of the track and while he tries to fight it, the situation gets no better. By the eighth mile it is clear that the car is heading into bad territory and at 1,000ft the show really starts. Dunlap make a desperation move the keep the car in his own lane and it pitches completely sideways for a second, wiping out the 1,000ft foam block. Now headed across the track in the other direction, Dunlap is desperately trying to coax the thing back towards the middle of the track again but instead the car briefly climbs the guard wall before settling down and coming to a stop.

You need to watch this is slow motion or frame by frame mode when the car is heading toward the right wall because Dunlap speeds by guys less than a couple feet away who are stationed up there as part of the safety crew. They are running for cover because they think he is really going to mash the concrete but in 100% truth, the car actually climbs the barriers after the poured wall ends. We’re not sure if the car was tweaked but we give Dunlap all the credit for handling this one like the professional that he is! Watch and learn, kids.
