This $1,000 Nissan Pulsar Seems Like A Barrel Of Fun In The Dirt – The Cure For The Quarter Million Deusey

Life is about balance and on a day when we showed you a $250,000 clone Deusenberg we felt that there needed to be an appropriately BangShift palate cleanse to follow it. This car stands as a perfect example of how to have fun on the cheap in the world of racing. Rally Cross is a form of racing that is certainly on the fringes of competition but represents one of the simplest and easiest ways to get into competitive driving. The car that is for sale in this ad is a $1,000 Nissan Pulsar. For anything BUT rally cross the thing wold not exactly be high level entertainment but on the dirt we bet it is perfection.

The seller claims that he basically puts gas in the thing and drives it to and from the sites of the rally cross events he competes in. Yeah, the headlight switch kind of sucks and occasionally you have to put the flip up headlights down by hand but the thing runs like a top and can get beaten like a rented mule, left out in the rain, it passes state inspection, and for lack of a better term it is a road going go-kart. If you have never done the “driving slow cars fast” thing, you probably get none of this, but if you ever have you know exactly what this car is about.

It is the polar opposite of the Deusenberg clone. Not just in price but in ethos. No one buys this car to get looked at, complimented, or exalted. Nope, you buy this because you are a gearhead that wants to have fun and a person who wants to do it on their own terms and budget. A BangShifty mindset if we have ever heard one.

Who wants to have some fun in the dirt? Offer the guy $900 cash and drive it home.
