We have showed you cool cars in the pits at Laguna Seca as part of the 2014 Rolex Monterey Historic Motorsports Reunion but as you well know, all the good stuff happens on the track. That is the case with these photos which capture some of the oldest machines on the grounds running wheel to wheel as “fast” as they can, which if you can believe it pretty freaking fast. You have to think about some of these cars which are not much more advanced than farm tractors were. Hey, at least they are sprung, right? It takes some stones to really get after it out there in a car that you know is either worth a ton of money or is so old that you are pretty much guaranteed a death if you screw up while driving it hard. We’re not saying these guys are Evel Knievel or anything but you get the point.
