(Photos by Joe Grippo) – If you think we are done with photos from the 2017 Ford Carlisle Nationals you are dead wrong! Joe Grippo may still be hospitalized with a finger injury from hammering the shutter button so hard during the event but we’re thankful for his dedication because it has resulted in some great galleries from the show which highlight pretty much every shape and size cool Ford that has ever existed. In this collection of photos you’ll see rare drop tops, cars for sale, some sweet, sweet trucks and at least one factory supercharged engine.
Today it’s no big thing to have a factory blown motor and don’t get us wrong it isn’t like Ford invented the concept. Bentley was selling cars in the 1920s with blowers as were companies like Deusenberg and a handful of others. That being said, if you popped the hood of your T-Bird in the late 1950s and there was a blower on it, you were someone to be reckoned with.
