2018 Highway Creepers Car Show Photo Coverage: It Rained In Nebraska And No Cars Melted

(Photos by Scott Liggett) – Here’s the funny thing about cars, they are insoluble. Unless you have gone the extra mile and fabricated the body of your hot rod out of fall-a-particle-board or cardboard you can drive that sucker in a myriad of conditions. When the factory built your car they actually tested it in the wet, the cold, and even the high heat of the desert. They put a lot of engineering into these things and while time takes a toll on all of us and all of our stuff, cars still will survive some water. The awesome Highway Creepers car club taught us that during their yearly show because the weather was Nebraska spring (which means suspect) and the turnout was awesome.

So the next time you see some wonk freaking out because it is going to rain on his precious car, just remember that the millions of bucks were spent on designing your stuff to make sure it would survive a damned rain storm and stop being so damned worried about the elements. Grow a set and have fun with your stuff, no matter the conditions. After all, it is about the people and the fun, right?
