2019 Lonestar Roundup Photo Coverage: Hanging Out At Top Notch Burgers And Some Of The Coolest Cars Ever

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Our man Charles Wickam was at the Lonestar Roundup recently and he sent us piles of photos to share with you from the show, which we’re starting to do now. Instead of starting with the show proper, we’re going to start with one of the coolest hangs that the Roundup has each year. Top Notch Burgers is the spot to see and be seen after hours at the event. As the streets are filled with hot rods during the show, it is only fitting that so many would gravitate to this historically awesome little burger stand that looks like a time warp back to a simpler time.

The range of stuff that rolls in is wild. You may notice an insanely famous and world renown 1957 Chevy in the lead photo and if you are wondering, yes, that’s the actual car. One of the late Boyd Coddington’s signature creations, that ’57 looks bad ass among the throngs of cars.

The Lonestar Roundup is a famous show, Top Notch is a famous hangout, getting a spot at the place is tough but for those that did, they’ll long remember a beautiful Texas evening as well as the tasty beef paddies they consumed while there.

I believe the red 57 Chevy vert is a Boyd car. Loved the 57 body stretched on a 59 impala proportion. I miss him. Not the show. It showed him in a different light then the man I met on Power Tour years before. Producers of the show did him a disservice by trying to turn him into the OCC b.s.
