Big Cat Attack: The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Is Not Just A Killer Engine Wrapped In A Mundane SUV Anymore – Updates A-Plenty

(By Tom Lohnes) – The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is a fun vehicle. With the hilarious 550-horsepower Supercharged V8 paired with AWD and an SUV body style, it blends practicality with one of the loudest engine notes on any production vehicle right now. The SVR, however, had its short comings against other ultra luxury/performance SUVs. As compared to others the brakes were lackluster, it had a kind of boring interior, a rather mundane exterior, and it was in need of a refresh. Thankfully, it has just received one.

With even more torque than the previously ridiculous 502 lb-ft the last one had, 0-60 improved by 0.4 seconds, moving from 4.1 to 3.7. Inside those gorgeous front racing seats remain, as well as a brand new 19.0-inch infotainment system that Jaguar Land Rover calls “pivipro”.

Speaking of gorgeous, the outside is a whole lot less boring than the last one, with fresh lines, a wider track, and a reworked front end.  Brakes have been enlarged by an inch, so the steel rotors should have some bite on a racetrack now, and may improve city driving. This is a great list of improvements to an already pretty great vehicle.

So, how much will this 550-horsepower, bright blue, whining beast cost you? Well, that’s a fat TBD from Jaguar, but based on the last one, the new F-Pace SVR will base at around $90,000.
