(By Tom Lohnes) – The Porsche 911 GT3 is crazy. Pushing 502 horses out of a 9,000 RPM Naturally aspirated Flat 6, it was very obviously built for a racetrack. Well, what if you want to daily your GT3? Porsche has an answer for you, and it comes in the form of a $5,500 package.

Called the GT3 touring, the track-focused car loses its wing and gains a lot of comfort features and softer suspension. Power comes from the same flat 6, which is a fantastic motor with a lot more potential in it. Transmission choices are a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, but you can’t get a manual one in California because it is too loud.

Live anywhere else in the country or the world, and you can have a 9,000-RPM, manual-transmission, GT car. And people say we don’t have manual transmission options. The normal GT3 with the DCT did 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, so expect this one to be a rocket ship too.

The GT3 is expensive. With the average price of a new one being around the $190,000 mark, it is very safe to guess that the Touring will be in the 2’s with enough options. That’s a lot of money, but you’re paying for one of the most unique cars on the road.
