(Words and photos by Scott Liggett) – The 63rd Annual O’reilly Auto Parts Omaha Autorama is a definite mouthful. I am glad I am writing about the show instead of having to say this like some kind of Brian Lohnes drag racing announcer. I would never be able to get that out without tripping over my own mouth. To make matters worse, the show is also known for being a part of the ISCA World Of Wheels Cavalacade of Customs. The Omaha Autorama is part of a great series of shows that started in Omaha in 1955. Their long winded name is deserved for allowing us gearheads to feed our car show itch in the dead of winter for more six decades. If you were anywhere in the midwest this past winter, a giant venue full of cool classics and customs was sorely needed.
2018 marked a couple occasions. It was 40 years ago that your author first went to this show. It was also the end of the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Civic was the home for the Autorama for decades and it was demolished this past year. The show has since been moved to the wonderful Centurlink Center just a few blocks away. They have done a great job ever since.
This year, the Omaha Autorama saw guests that included NASCAR fav driver Dale Earnhardt Jr and Horny Mike from Counts Kustoms come by to meet fans and sign autographs. The FMX Motorcycle Stunt show riders were showing how high they could jump in the building without crashing into the ceiling. They were amazing to watch.
This is the first gallery of pictures we have for you from this show, with more to come. Enjoy and pray for spring to actually come to the midwest.

AWESOME cover car, the swoopy looking silver lakester coupe. That thing screams. Thank you for sharing.
