(Words and photos by Dave Nutting) – The Speedway Motors CAM Challenge East at Grissom Air Force Base in Peru, Indiana was two weekends ago and I made the 1800 mile round-trip in my 1987 Monte Carlo SS to both race against and blast photos of some of the fastest vehicles in the SCCA Classic American Muscle classes today. As per usual I took too many photos to fit in one blog item, so we’ll be running galleries all this week followed by my personal take on the road trip and event.

Had a blast at the event, never have I seen so many fast muscle cars and fast drivers all convened in one location and racing against one another. It was epic! Dave Nutting was in his element all weekend long!! He’s probably still grinning…
