Ok, so he was one day shy of turning fifteen years old when he piloted his V8 Supercar Ford Falcon to a win at Winton Motor Raceway, but in the grand scheme of things, it still makes Alex Rullo the youngest driver ever to get the checkered flag in a V8 Supercar race. Driving an ex-Mark Winterbottom Ford Falcon from 2006, Rullo ran the Falcon in the Australian V8 Touring Car Series, the third tier of racing, below V8 Supercar and Dunlop Series, and the run at Winton was his second start on the series. We congratulate Alex, and wish him well as he gets even more comfortable with his car and learns some more skills behind the wheel. We also hope that his motorsports career has success…which, if his second outing is anything to go by, shouldn’t be an issue whatsoever.
