Aussie Vs. American Battle Royale: Central Muscle Car Masters At Pukekohe

Australian versus American muscle cars, racing in New Zealand, as if it’s 1972 all over again and these cars are a dime-a-dozen. Is this heaven? It’s close enough. This is the Central Muscle Car Masters, which is similar to Australia’s Touring Car Masters: if it qualifies as a muscle car and potentially raced in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s welcomed. Toranas, Commodore SS, Falcons, Camaros, Mustangs, even the odd Valiant round out the field. It’s a ten-lap battle with dream machines from both sides of the great big pond being driven aggressively, but not crash-and-bash style…this could be considered “gentlemen racing” if you really want to call it that. We don’t recall ever seeing gentlemen leaving stripes that deeply black at lauhcn with a Holden as the first car takes off, but then again, every gentleman has their vice. Click on the video below to check out GT-style racing with a dream fleet of cars…good luck picking a favorite!
