Awesome Video: This Go Pro Footage Shot During The Making Of Fast And Furious 7 Shows The Insanity Of The Car Stunts

Love them or hate them the Fast and Furious series of movies are based around wild cars and have produced some of the highest grossing films of all time. We would run down the list of the other movie series that F&F has laid waste to in global earnings but you’d break down and cry if we did that so we’re not going to. The latest Fast and Furious film opened recently to massive fanfare as this was the movie that was in production when Paul Walker passed away during a high speed car wreck in California. What keeps millions of people coming back to these films? The cars and the totally crazed stunts. This footage which was shot and edited by GoPro gives a unique and awesome perspective into how much “real life” work still goes into making the impossible happen on a movie screen.

Yes, we live in the age of CGI but the fact remains that stunt drivers and coordinators are still very much in demand these days. Some of the vehicles you see in this film are being flung and launched by machines but many of them are actually being driven through some wild terrain and breakneck speeds. We have not seen this film yet but if we’re taking a guess at it the big black bus and all the guys in the blacked out cars are the bad dudes. Why are we guessing that? Just because those are ALWAYS THE BAD DUDES.

This is well worth the watch and it may even get you into a theater to spend a few sheckles and take in the movie!

All that is cool but…totally unbelievable. The chase scenes in “Bullit” and the “French Connection” still are #1/2.

Bullitt – definitely! The French Connection has too much undercranking and overcranking of the camera to be believable.

Stupid movies with about people wrecking some potentially nice cars.

    One trick pony #7.

what a load of crap. Sorry, these films do my head in. If this is what appeals to the general public then god help us all. Hopefully the one thing to come out of Paul Walkers death ( emulating this kind of dumb driving on public streets with his mate) is that hopefully at least we wont have to put up with any more of these. Face it F&F franchise, your cash cow has run its course. Go count your money and leave the rest of us to put up with the ricer nos generation you’ve spawned.

I think the behind the scenes, sans story line, might be better than the movies!
