Okay, maybe sexy and cool aren’t the words normally used to describe a Ford Maverick, and we’re talking about the real one here, not the new truck thing they blasphemed the name with. As a diehard Chevrolet guy, my favorite Fords are the ones that most folks wouldn’t think of as the best. I’m talking Mavericks and Pintos. So when I saw this one that Holley did a feature video on, I was super stoked. It’s got the stance, the look, the attitude, and the power to back all that up. With a Coyote under the hood, in a car that weighs a fraction of what a new Mustang does, this is a fun combo.

Bryant Althof’s 1970 Ford Maverick grabbed everybody’s attention at the 2021 Holley Ford Festival. The Maverick strikes a balance between being a Coyote-swapped restomod with suspension and brake upgrades and a restoration-quality look that everyone could appreciate.
I like it!
Great ride and super clean build.
A red light on the roof and we’re good to go.
Cant believe they got that wide motor in there! Got to be awful to work on. Nicely done though.
Nice rig! Needs 2 things- A Boss 429 hood scoop, and a set of Centerlines.
Great car!
