I’m not sure I’d drive across the street to pick up a Bricklin, but I know that might sound a bit strange to some folks. I’m just not a fan of the look, even if there is some, kind of, cool history to them. But Dan is Canadian, so it kind of makes sense that his taste would lean this way, especially when you consider that some crazy Canadian actually built this thing to begin with. I guess if you squint just right it looks cool? Or maybe not really. LOL
Video Description:
So after 2 weeks on the road, traveling across the great United States of America it was time to head home. Before power tour I had made a deal with Derek from Vice Grip to buy his 1975 Bricklin SV-1. I didn’t know much about the history of this hot rod other than it originally came from Tavarish in Florida….
The Bricklin was an over all flop when it was originally introduced to the market. It was only made for a few years with a total of 3000 cars built. So why would anyone want this junker? IT’S CANADIAN! A Canadian made car with gull wing doors? How could I not bring it home?
Derek gave me a good deal on the car, the payment actually went to charity, so at least someone wins from this transaction.
