(Photos by Cole Reynolds) Action at this weekend’s Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car event in Fontana California was hot and heavy. For some a little hotter than others, as the temps were well over 100 degrees and pushed some cooling systems to the max. For one competitor the car actually caught on fire, putting the fire in Firebird. But he was okay, the car is fixable, and he’ll have it back out racing before long I’m sure. This is our last gallery from Saturday’s autocross, and we have speed stop and road course photos coming tomorrow.
