When Casey Miller sent over a Craigslist post with an ultra low mileage 1977 Dodge Diplomat and said that it was a rough start candidate for the site, I thought it would be something in horrible shape that McTaggart would want to save like every other late 1970s to late 1980s Mopar he sees. But Casey was wrong on this one. It’s mint. Like mint mint. That does not make it good however. I mean nobody wants one of these. Nobody.
Except McTaggart. He’s like the crazy cat collecting lady, but his cats are Mopars only a kid like him would have ever wanted.
You be the judge.

Actually, Chad, I want it too.
I gotta say, I\’m not exactly wrong! even off the show room floor most cars from this era (which i love) were rough starts. They all need a little warming over of the drive line. you would likely use up the 5k budget quickly messing around with that motor, or sourcing a 318 or 360 to stick in it. That\’s why i would call it a rough start, albeit a really nice clean one. I tend to stick with GM cars, but i still dropped a dime on this one.
Well…he ain’t wrong. Especially since I owned a ’78 LeBaron in high school.
that would be cool with a new hemi from a charger in it
Not horrible…
