Sometimes stuff is just so cool that you want it even if there is practically no way to enjoy it. With that said, if we did own this cool Indy Car we’d make every effort to go to some open track days and flog the holy dog crap out of it. Just sayin. Sure it isn’t practical. It certainly ain’t cheap. But man it would be awesome to throw the loud pedal down and feel all that turbo Buick power on the front stretch at Fontana or Willow Springs or something. It would have to put a huge smile on your face, that’s for sure. And then when you weren’t racing it you would want it parked in your living room so you could enjoy it all the time. Hell I might use it as a coffee table, just because it would make you a total boss for not giving a crap and loving it. What do you think?

It looks like the ultimate runway racer to me! Wonder what it’ll do in the mile? Wrap it in something personal keeping the current livery intact. Bonneville maybe.
This car’s third place would be the best ever finish by the Buick “stock block.” The engine was rarely used outside the Month of May because CART rules didn’t allow 2-valve pushrod engines like this as much boost as USAC (which still sanctioned the 500, even though it awarded CART championship points) did.
