Putting two or more cars together to build one ultra cool hot rod is nothing new. Chassis swaps, engine and trans swaps, and the mixing and matching of body parts from several models or makes it common place depending on the part of the hot rodding hobby you like hanging out with. But when you take two cars and cut them in half, and then connect one back with one front in order to make something people will talk about, then why not choose something as odd as a Subaru and a Volkswagen to get your start. This thing has two engines since the back half of the car is VW Beetle and the front half is Subaru something or another. It looks weird, we don’t get it, but it makes us smile anyway. What do you think?
Here is the info from the seller:
This is a Subaru Volkswagen Car. It is a functioning vehicle. It has two engines, one in the front and one in the back. They both function. The asking price is $3,000 or best offer.

I know a lot of body shop guys who do drugs. I’d like to know exactly what these guys were on to inspire such a creation.
Must admit, at least from the pictures it looks like a clean job.

so does that make it a volksuru,or a subawagen?
Subabug or Bugaru
If ANYTHING drive train wise goes wrong whilst on the road, you simply turn off one, fire up the other, and keep on keepin’ on. Yes? 😀
Whoppee do for my Subabug?
Babbling, frothing, complete and utter insanity maybe?
Where’s the Trump For President bumper sticker?
RA-DI-ATION yes indeed, you hear the most outrageous lies about it.Half baked goggle box do gooders telling everybody its bad for you, pernicious nonsense! Everybody could stand a hundred chest x-rays a year! They oughta have ’em too
Several bottles of Yukon Jack .
I find it amusing too. It’s pretty well executed, even if it doesn’t make much sense. My guess is that both were pretty badly damaged to start with and this guy had a lot of spare time and a good sense of humor.
BTW, look closely at the B-pillar… did this guy start out with a Subaru BRAT?
The old parody called “Making Love In A Subaru” by Damaskas explains this car.
While it looks like they did a better job than the usual “freakshow” mash-up, it is just another case of “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should”.
