For only $2200 this seems like a pretty nice deal for someone wanting to build one of these trucks. According to the ad, which has crappy photos I’m sorry to say, the truck is rust free and straight as an arrow. That’s a good thing, and it means that with and engine and trans you are well on your way to rolling in this cool truck. When you consider you can buy a 5.3 LS with 4L65e transmission and all the wiring and accessories for about $1500 and a complete used Suburban or Tahoe with all the same stuff in it will cost you less than $2000 and give up other good parts you might need, this isn’t a bad deal. From what I can see the work seems to be done nice, and it’s a rust free 1968 Ford Pickup that with a few tweaks and some finish work can be Pro Touring ready and showing the C10 contingent that they are not the only ones on the block.

This had me going pretty good right up until LS AND automatic, at which point I threw up. A lot. All over the keyboard.

Put your own engine in it. Maybe a 460 with a 5 speed or use your imagination.
    Anything will fit

How about a 6.2L from a newer Super Duty or Raptor pickup? Similar engine mounting to a 4.6 / 5.4 mod motor, lots of torque, and a bit different.

Try a 5.4 dohc from a Navigator with the 6 speed auto or any 4.6/5.4 Ford. Now you have a virtual bolt together package and you have kept it all Ford. There are plenty of dead chevies/ramblers/studebakers waiting for an LS.

Too bad it 2500 miles away, that is a perfect project vehicle for anyone.

And it’s ready for a LS setup, even better!
