This Pro Touring 1968 Camaro Is Done Right, But With A Twist!

This Pro Touring 1968 Camaro Is Done Right, But With A Twist!

The Pro Touring community has grabbed hold of the GM LS Engine platform with both hands and it seems like almost everyone either has an LS Engine or WANTS an LS Engine in their car. But at the same time there are groups of folks who are die hard big block or small block fans and who revel in the fact that their cars are NOT LS powered. Well this Pro Touring 1968 Camaro is the perfect car for either camp. But I’ll get to why in a second.

This car is done right. Super clean, really nice parts, and all the goodies and work that really takes a lot of time and money is already done. The paint is great, the stance is right and the parts list is amazing. Ridetech, Baer, Forgeline, Moser, and more are under this car. Come on, that’s the good stuff!

The asking price is $45,000 and you would have a hard time building this thing for that price unless you did every single thing yourself. All of it.

What’s cool about this one for all you LS vs Small Block vs Big Block guys is that it has the original engine and trans in it. Yep, 327 with a PG. So it’s ready for whatever engine and trans you want! We’d build a 383 cubic inch LS, or take the 327 and make it into an 8500 rpm screamer!

What would you do?

The body on this car is extremely, EXTREMELY straight! There was a lot of good craftsmanship done to this car prior to me getting my hands on it.

The Motor is the ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 327 Small Block.
Original 2 Speed Powerglide.

I have a LS motor I was going to rebuild and swap into the car.
My original plan was for a twin turbo setup. I had big dreams and a leash. Damn leash.

The car had been mini tubbed to accommodate the larger rear wheels. It originally was running a 345 series tire.

Has new pro car seats. The rear seat have been fitted to accommodate the larger mini tub which I hear isn’t an easy job.

Brand new interior almost all the way around. New dash, carpet, headliner ect..
The interior still has the original gauges and radio and I believe this is an original A/C car, yeah air conditioning! But I took that out because it was in the way when I put on the new long tube headers(I do still have it though). It has a complete mandrel bent 3″ exhaust that has Flowmaster Super 44’s that dump off at the axle. Looks super sweet and I like more of the ghost exhaust look.

It does have a few MINOR nicks in between the jams of the front fender and the door when I was putting the front end back together. Couple small blemishes on the roof up by the front glass. I couldn’t get them to show up in pictures.

The Camaro has a ton of parts I’m sure I’m even not listing.
You can just look at the car and see what went into the build of this car.
I’m sure you can see for yourself the amount of money that went to the restoration of it.

The stock Powerglide is probably nearing towards having to be rebuilt.
It’ll make the prefect platform for a LS swap and a T-56 Tremec 6 Speed.

  1. Chevy Hatin' Mad Geordie

I’d have my revenge on all the Trumpholes who put LS motors into Fords by selling the 327 and replacing it with an FE. Its a sweet car no matter what badge is on it and this would make it perfect!
