Shootouts are always fun, but not always super practical. Sure, the guys at MotorTrend can get their hands on a new Corvette, a new Porsche, and whatever else they want to compare, but it’s unusual that other folks can. What’s even more rare is real back to back testing to see how the stack up against each other. But that’s exactly what we’re getting in this video here. Our friend Andy Voelkel decided that he and his dad Bret were going to take their three sports cars out to the race track and run them back to back to back for the day in an effort to see which car is best. And what does best mean?
To keep the results as consistent as is reasonable, Andy would be doing the driving and the car that would set the bar is Andy’s Time Attack prepped C8 Z51 Corvette that he won the Gridlife Championship in this year. But a Porsche Turbo S, and a C8 Z06, are two bad ass machines. Should they be able to keep up? Are are they going to be even better?
