You know how much we love the Mongrel Project from Matt at Urchfab, and with good reason. It should serve to inspire us and everyone else out there to get after it and build some cool stuff. The cage work, simple sheetmetal fabrication, and overall vision of a project that combines a Ford 100E and Mazda Miata are fun to see coming together. The fabrication work on this car is great, but is done with such simple tools, so it is confidence inspiring because there aren’t crazy tools and equipment that normal people can’t relate to. That’s just one of the reasons we like this project so much. The other is because Matt isn’t some flashy car builder, but rather a guy that knows what he’s doing and shares his experiences and adventures with the rest of us. It’s hard to argue with that.
