WTF PEOPLE!!! Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. This is hideous. In every way. Thanks to our pal Rocco Bastone, who sent this one in, we all get to suffer and look at it together. Thanks. Thanks a lot pal. When this 4th Gen Camaro turned ’57 Chevy was built, there were a ton of things kinds of builds going on in the hot rodding world. 4th Gens made into 1st and 2nd Gen Camaros, late model Corvettes made into early model Corvettes, and all kinds of other weirdness. It is one thing if someone morphs a couple of odd year Mopars that three people, including McTaggart, care about but this is just wrong at a bunch of levels.
If you own something like this, or want to buy this one, know that we will undoubtedly make fun of you for it. You have been warned.
I actually feel bad for the person trying to sell this because they undoubtedly were told it would be a great investment and all that but in reality these have almost no value compared to the real thing.
Why did this kind of modification become popular in the first place? I’m really not sure.
Yes – yet another Chevy-based pile of shit built by a person who makes even Donald Trump seem like the most intelligent President in American history!
Takes one to know one. Besides… we all know you’re in your basement, jerking off to these photos.
Donald Trump is getting the job done that I sent him to Washington for. Go America!!!
And what has your Prince Charles done Geordie? Nothing, at least President Trump gets shit done and he doesn’t take crap from people like you.
You are completely wrong about this, Chad. There are Chevy pukes all over the place salivating over this…thing, thinking “how freaking cool is THAT! I’ve gotta have it!” Just like the people who build motorcycles and trikes that look like ’57 Chevies…Chevy people have a herd mentality. There will be many people waiting in line for a chance at this “dream custom”…
Well oh bearded one, I think you are out to lunch on this one. I think it looks great. I’m willing to bet ALOT of others fell the same way. When one drives by you just turn your head and look the other way.
as long as its reproduction parts, no harm, not my cup of tea. kinda looks like a go cart they slapped a fiberglass body on, man in a funny hat drives it in a parade.
I am not a fan of rebodied late models that use the windshield (too much slant) but compared to the Corvette ones this one sorta looks OK (kinda wedge P/M like), still not for me. The fact that CHMG hates it is a plus.

I remember when Coddington was making these similar looking things out of real 57 and got nothing but praise . And yeah I kind of like it . If it were a hard top it would work for me . Funny because I don’t like the looks of 4th gen F body converts .
Finally a street legal Pro-Mod!!!
The proportions are a little wacky but certainly not the worse I’ve seen At least its not one of those J.C.Whitney-ish bolt on your car kits. The wifey would love it!!
Actually, you can buy it in kit form!

i believe the big reason for this type of car was simple—you had all the upgrades (new chassis, driveline, brakes, etc.) already built in—all that you had to do was swap body parts—personal feelings aside,it was a tremendous time saver,as compared to restoring an old car
KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing wrong with it is it’s not black. And I don’t even like Chevys.
They ruined a perfectly good car to build this piece af weird crap. Hope they used repop parts and not an original 57 cause then they have ruined 2 cars instead. Some thing just dont go together, this is a Nice example of stupid Waste of time and money.
I’d take this over one of those stupid looking “rat-rods” any day of the week, or something that has 5 feet of motor sticking out of the hood. And anybody that thinks that trump has done any good for anybody but the rich still slurps she-it of a large toilet bowl. and goes back for 2nds and 3rds of those turds.
I think it’s fair to judge a car on how well it succeeded at the builder’s goals. If the goal was to build a convincing replica of a ’57 Chevy on a Camaro platform, it succeeds about as well as an X275 build that runs 9 second 1/8 miles.
As a street legal Pro Mod, it would need a bit more cartoonieness. And more horesepower.
That’s not as terrible as the Ford thing on the Easy Rods website.
I don’t know…get rid of the hood ornaments, paint the whole thing black and replace those rims with some AR61 Outlaws and I’d drive it…the fact that it’s a convertible would be the only dealbreaker for me…
no sir I dont like it.. looks like something that belongs on instagram´s auto_atrocities page… i agree it must be a snap to put together, but a 57 chevy and a 4th gen f body are just too different to look right as one… im not against kit cars, specially if they look right (mabe even a 65 mustang bodied miata).. the top half is just too slanted to work on a tri5 chevy.. BURN IT DOWN and save that chevy motor for a proper volvo lemons racecar!
