Paint and upholstery, the two things most folks send their cars out for when building something at home. They are the two parts of a build that intimidate folks most. Yeah, I know there are plenty of people that aren’t afraid of painting their own stuff, but it’s not the norm. And I know there are folks out there who will do their own interior work too, but it is also not the norm. Hell, most folks I know won’t even put new seat upholstery on that comes from one of the restoration houses. Most people buy the kit and then take it to their local interior shop to get installed. And that’s okay, I’m not saying you shouldn’t support other businesses, but in some cases you should probably think about doing it yourself.
