Amazing On Car World Rally Championship Video That Makes Us Giggle Like Little Girls

Amazing On Car World Rally Championship Video That Makes Us Giggle Like Little Girls

(WRC) World Rally Championship drivers are some seriously talented dudes. I’ve been lucky enough to drive several types of race cars, but this isn’t one of them and it pains me. I’d love to tear up the dirt, asphalt, snow, and gravel in one of these all-wheel drive machines, but it takes a certain kind of “confidence” to drive flat out through the gears on a road that would have a hard time holding a Lincoln at 40 mph. This video is from the recent WRC Monte Carlo Rally, and since I’ve actually driven a few of these roads I can tell you that doing it as speed is an amazing display of ability and balls. I mean just look at the village they drive through starting at 3:30! Holy crap that looks tight. I know people that would be afraid to try and drive their truck and open tag trailer through something like that!

What makes this video special is the awesome camera placement and the crazy sheer drop offs on the sides. There are times where I wanted to cringe, times where I wanted clap, and times where I just started giggling for no reason. And almost as impressive as the drivers and cars, are the spectators who are standing within a couple feet of the road. It’s bitchin.

The “Dirt” video game series get this stuff pretty right. Dirt 3 is the best, but there is Ken Block stuff in it.

I love to drive fast on curvy roads anywhere, but after this all I could think of is “when will it end”? Then I’d puke. 🙂

glad to see Robert has kept getting better since his huge accident a few years ago, he had huge potential while racing in F1 and would have driven for Ferrari had he not crashed in a huge way.

    Thanks Chad, great video
