The Final Installment Of Bargain Racement, Bad Obsession Motorsports City Cup Race Car Build On The Cheap

The Bargain Racement Project was supposed to show just how much fun you can have on the cheap, by putting together a little bitty compact racer to beat on at every race possible. The idea was that this was better, faster, and possibly more cost effective than building or buying a SIM Racing rig and playing with it online. So the boys at Bad Obsession Motorsport threw together this little Citroen for a new series call the City Cup. Wheel to wheel racing, with real cars, is a riot no matter how small or how little horsepower they make.

The rules and parts for this class are incredibly cool and specific so that the cars are as identical as possible and therefore all about the driver’s abilities. Watching this car get put together, seeing it being tested, and then watching as it raced on all kinds of cool circuits, was fun and inspiring. That doesn’t surprise me as the guys at Bad Obsession are always inspiring me with their builds. But this little car was special, and in this episode you’ll see all the “rest of the costs” of racing a little car around big race tracks next to other little cars.
