(By Eric Rood) – We’re still pretty sure that rally is the craziest form of racing, if only because it’s possible—nay, likely—that at some point when you launch your Subaru over a closed public gravel road, you’ve got a good chance of finishing upside-down in somebody’s yard. For Rally American driver, Peter Fetela, that’s exactly what happened to him last weekend at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in Missouri. For Fetela and his codriver Dominik Jozwiak, the wild ride on the 100AW Rally’s Stage 10 came to a halt with Fetela’s 1998 Subaru WRX STi on its side in the road.

The big wreck canceled the stage while the Rally America crew cleaned it up and made sure the duo were OK (They were). Travis Pastrana ultimately ended up winning the rally over his factory Subaru teammate David Higgins. Not only was it Pastrana’s first victory in a few years in Rally America, it was also the first time anybody has beat Higgins in a rally since 2014.
