Penmanship: Watch Chip Foose Sketch Up A Modified, Hot Rodded First Generation Bronco

There’s few more things more satisfying in life than watching a creative person apply their talents to make something come to life. From their brain through their hands and onto whatever medium they are using. It’s interesting, impressive and inspiring all at once. This is especially true when it comes to car stuff. Whether watching a hot rodder shape a panel or a designer sketching up some ideas, if it involves creativity and cars, we’re in.

We are glad to see that Hagerty has continued the series they were doing with Chip Foose. This is a one on one deal and it is not some kind of masterclass but rather it is him conceiving an idea and walking us through how he would execute it, all the while sketching up the machine that he has built or is building in his head. He has done a bunch of different stuff in the past but this time he tackles a first generation Ford Bronco and not in the way you’d expect.

We dig the easy going format of these and the feel that you’re just sitting in the office with Chip and he is doing this thing for a potential customer or client. If you are some sort of Bronco freak and think he is “doing it wrong” understand he wants to use a re-pop body. No precious old Fords would be harmed in the building of this imaginary truck.

Press play to see the talented pen of Chip Foose transform a first gen Bronco
