We Drive Ridetech’s Street Grip Chevelle Cross Country And LOVE IT!!!

We Drive Ridetech’s Street Grip Chevelle Cross Country And LOVE IT!!!

When Bret Voelkel and the gang at Ridetech told us that we could drive one of their cars cross country during the FM3 Road Trip, we were all excited to jump into something fast and bad ass. Or to jump into one of their C10 projects that we love so much. When Bret told us that we should drive the Street Grip Chevelle, I have to say I was a little less than excited. It’s a cool car, and I’ve been in it before, but it has a really plane Jane small block in it and nothing really “exciting”. What an IDIOT I am!

Thankfully Bret convinced me that the Vintage Air, Dakota Digital Cruise Control, comfy Recaro seats, Kicker Stereo, and mellow exhaust was exactly what Daphne needed for a road trip, because he was 100% correct, as usual.

The Street Grip Chevelle was great on the road, super fun for both of us to drive, road super nice, handled amazingly for such a simple system, and was a riot all week long. When Steve walked up and said “Chad, give me your impressions of the Street Grip Chevelle” this is the result. One take, no notes, no suggestions, no script. This is the real deal, as is the Ridetech Street Grip program.

I’d drive this car daily, cross country, or anywhere else you want to go. It is seriously enjoyable.

Thats Awesome Chad and Daphnie, my first car was a 1972 chevelle that we bought from my brother with money from the sale of our racing go cart operation and money saved when I was 15 years old. It suprisingly rode and handled great with slightly upgraded suspension parts, and a few other mods elsewhere including edelbrock hard parts and dress up kit. I was a great experience and even though there are a lot of great newer cars out there, I have always favored older cars, trucks, motorcycle and boats. Great to see you two cruising an the rest of the crew having a great time, thats how it is supose to be. With family, good friends and being involved in automotive activties, how can it be any better right?
