Dyno Shootout Coverage: The Mopar Muscle Magazine Dyno Contest Was Fun!

Dyno Shootout Coverage: The Mopar Muscle Magazine Dyno Contest Was Fun!

With Bonneville cancelled and having already removed myself from the NHRA Seattle announcing staff with the expectation of being on the salt, I was expecting to be home last weekend. The bullpen phone rang and it was the guys from Mopar Muscle Magazine asking offering up an announcing job at their annual dyno showdown at the Mopar Nationals in Ohio. I thought it would be a fun time with lots of neat cars so I jumped at the chance to lend my voice to that event.

I am glad that I did because it was really fun. 30 cars took to the rollers and those 30 cars were an amazing cross section of Mopar high performance realm. From brand new Hellcats to little 340 powered cars that were more than four decades old and in stock condition, we saw it all. The power numbers ranged from 200 to 1,100 at the wheels and the crowds ebbed and flowed with the intensity of the cars.

Being that I was front and center for the whole thing, I wrote the web coverage for the boys over at Mopar Muscle Magazine. The winners of the four different categories along with all of the technical information we could get from the competitors. To see all that good stuff, hit the link below. If you love Mopars, this is a great collection of cars and engines!
