Sometimes it is just fun to send a lowly, crummy car down the line in spectacular fashion. Whether something like McTaggart and his King of The Heap adventures or what these guys did, there’s an expiration date on all the stuff that has ever rolled out of an automotive plant. Sometimes that date is man made and sometimes it is just when the parts decided that enough is enough in everyday use.
This little car never saw it coming and boy when it comes it comes in industrially violent fashion. So the caption on the video claims, these guys basically set this car on the rev limiter and just poured ALL the nitrous to it. Between the car running its guts out and doing it while being force fed the happy gas and the factory “soft touch” rev limiter working everyone knows it is just a matter of time before the inevitable happens.
The moment comes when fuel in the intake is ignited and that also ignites the nitrous in the mix and the hood, at least parts of it, flies some 30ft out of the frame. The whole front of the car is basically blown loose, and the engine stops right now.
Childish? Yes. Uncalled for? Maybe. Kind of awesome to see? 100% accurate.
