(Words and photos by Scott Liggett) – When we received the notice of the Highway Creeper’s upcoming 2018 Rock n Rods Show, we realized that we never posted about the 2017 show in April last year. We have to apologize to the Creepers for this horrible oversight.
As we sit here in Central Nebraska in another sub-zero cold snap, what is better than to check out cool pictures of a great show on such a nice warm April day? We remember how the day before and the day after the show were both cold and cloudy, but on that Saturday it was sunny, warm and beautiful. We even found a rotting 1957 Sudebaker Golden Hawk sitting in the dirt a block away.
The Highway Creeper’s Rock n Rods Show has both cool cars and great music. Thanks to Gillie’s Bar, show goers could take a break from looking at the great cross section of cool cars and trucks to listen to some awesome music. Gillies had bands going to well into the evening.
This show gets bigger and better each year thanks to the hard work of the members of the Highway Creepers Car Club. They didn’t forget the food either. What goes better with hot rods and hot music, than tasty hot food. The Creepers brought in a bunch of food trucks that unique and yummy food, with something for everyone’s tastes.
We can’t wait for the 2018 show this coming April.
