Hoonitruck: Meet Ken Block’s 914-Horsepower, All-Wheel-Drive, Twin-Turbo V6 1977 Ford F-150 Gymkhana Build!

Meet Ken Block’s latest all-wheel-drive cure and cause for insanity. It’s a 1977 Ford F-150 dubbed “Hoonitruck”, it’s just as mental as the other all-wheel-drive Fords his name is stamped all over, and it’s the tool of choice for the upcoming GymkhanaTEN video. It’s not a classic like the “Hoonicorn” Mustang, and it isn’t a rally machine like his fleet of Fiesta RXs,, so why in the hell did a dentside Ford get the treatment? It’s because Block has a history in a ’77 Ford truck…his dad had one and it was one of Block’s first at-the-wheel experiences. This made it the perfect choice, in his eyes, for the next wild child. There has been a learning curve with the Hoonitruck…it’s heavier than other machines, much longer,

And it’s properly mental under the hood. Sorry to V8 fans, but it’s a 3.5L twin-turbocharged Ford V6 that is set up like the LeMans machines. 914 horsepower? We can ignore the exhaust note for that kind of fun. And fun, it promises to be…there’s some teaser shots in here showing Block testing out the truck early on and it gets the job done in the fashion you’ve come to expect from this guy. You’ll get to see the video in December, but we wonder if we’ll get to see the truck sooner that that? We’ll keep an eye out…
