My first experience with ICON was when Freiburger and I were doing CarJunkieTV, and they were only building their new and improved version of Toyota’s FJ Series. They were building what I would call restored and improved rides that had better than current OE fit and finish along with all the durability and performance improvements you would want if building your own FJ. They were amazing rides and super fun to experience. Since then they have expanded their operations and offerings exponentially, and one of the most recent and amazing rides to come out of the shop is this 300 SEL Mercedes that is part of their Derelict Series.

The cars and trucks in this series get to keep the patina they have earned up top while everything else in and under the vehicle is expertly restored, modified, and improved. This car is awesome and I love it. It has a full custom Art Morrison chassis underneath, a bad ass powertrain, and big wheels and tires that just look right at home.
