Indoor Figure Eight Racing Is An Idea That Is Both Brilliant And Mental Simultaneously

A few days ago we showed you action from the Rumble In Ft. Wayne indoor midget race and that was a pretty hairy looking affair. Today we got to the other end of the spectrum with a video showing the madness that is indoor figure eight racing. We’re not sure how often or in how many locations this happens in but the action you are about to see was captured by Urban Hillbilly Action Videos in what looks to be a horse arena located in Missouri. The cars seem to have all been through the war at some point before the event because they’re all kinds of chewed up already. That’s a good thing because the mayhem begins about one second after the green flag drops.

While the course is really, really short, this is a fun watch and it must have been pure bliss to compete. The cars bang into each other constantly, they are sliding around, and they regularly victimize the huge tires laid out to make up the course. Those poor things got it worse than anything during the contest.

This seems like the kind thing that could be really, really popular as a winter sport. Can you imagine someone setting up a LeMons type series for this stuff? Make it a big goofy party and just get on with it! We’re interested in your opinion after watching the video below. Would you buy a ticket to this?
