Strike Two: Interior Of Upcoming Acura Integra Snapped At Rolex 24 And The Reaction? Not Great

After the rather underwhelming launch after the 2023 Acura Integra prototype, us enthusiasts had a lot of questions. First off, why does it look like a Honda Accord Crosstour? Second, what’s under the hood? Third, what does the interior look like? Well, we don’t have answer to the first two questions yet, but it appears a spectator at the 24hrs of Daytona race has somewhat answered the third. The answer? Don’t get your hopes up.

From the looks of this semi-quality spyshot, the Integra quite literally takes the basic dashboard design of the new-for-2022 Honda Civic Sport Touring hatch and slaps some more chrome on it. This definitely isn’t a huge shock considering how much the Integra has previously shared with the Civic, but this is a whole new level. Everything down to the steering wheel is from the Civic. The infotainment system, climate controls, air vents, and the rest of the dash is all Honda. What’s different? Well, it appears the seats in this sporty A-spec model are finished in some nice white leather, and the shift knob gets a nicer finish than on the lesser Honda. The rest? Identical to the Civic.

That being said, we know surprisingly little about this new Integra. All we know is that the base model should start around $30,000 and be based off of the Honda Civic Si, and there could be a Type-S model in the future with the 2.0-liter turbo I-4 out of the Civic Type-R. The Integra pictured had a very nice manual transmission, so you can count on that and maybe even a DCT as a transmission option. Maybe we will see the first implementation of Acura’s famous SH-AWD system on a Civic platform. But, we can only hope.

This new Integra can really make or break Acura as a company, so I hope this vehicle suceeds. More info should arrive as the year progresses.
