(Photos by Mike Brooks) – Euclid, Ohio is a hot rodding town and Street Machinery has been one of the most enduring symbols of the area’s love of horsepower for decades. The shop was on the bleeding edge of plugging LS engines into stuff way before it was cool, they do restoration work, they can turn out killer traditional cars, they wheel and deal in the latest speed parts and go fast stuff and they do it all out of a massive shop that’s like 25,00 square feet. Oh, they also throw a car show/party called Inventory Intervention which is an awesome and insanely brilliant name.
Our man Mike Brooks was on the scene this year with his picture taking device and he captured the cool breadth and depth of the show by blasting photos of iron we think you will love, some of you will hate, and everyone will agree pushed the boundaries of creativity. Take the wagon in the lead photo for example, how bad ass is that thing? There’re cars the polar opposite in the photos below as well. That’s what makes the world go ’round, right?
That and great shops like Street Machinery which hold events and gatherings for their hot rodding brethren to hang out, see cool stuff, and enjoy the varied world of cool cars we all love.
Really amazing what people will give for rust. I’ve pushed much better iron into the salvage yard.
tired of the stupid rust look and every car or truck sitting on the ground. real original thinking, it shows how individual you all are and your lack of talent.
Gary, are you going off your personal taste and opinion or are you a credited expert?
Agreed Gary. Gabriel Hi-jackers, Cragars, and white letter tires should be on everything.
Whats the difference between Rust and Patina?
