Jason Plato Wrings Out The LaFerrari At A Familiar Track, And Chris Evans Does An Impression Of A Familiar Host!

Top Gear isn’t coming back like you remember it, no matter how much cringing, head-shaking or Internet screaming fans will do. The nails were driven into the coffin when Richard Hammond and James May turned down a seriously generous bribe offer by the BBC to come back and host. Since then, speculation has been flying over who would replace the charismatic hosts if and when the BBC decides to reboot Top Gear again. One name that has kept floating up to the surface is Chris Evans, a radio and television personality in the U.K. and a well-known car collector famous for purchasing a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for £12,000,000. So far, Evans has denied and refused publicly to replace the outed Jeremy Clarkston, but this segment from a one-off reboot of his show TFI Friday makes you think there’s something else going on. With racer Lewis Hamilton present, Evans unveils “The Stink”, which is really BTCC legend and former Fifth Gear presenter Jason Plato in a black-and-white track suit, who was the lucky one to shove the LaFerrari around Dunsfold Aerodrome’s track. The target? The Pagani Huayra, with a lap time of 1:13.8. What does the LaFerrari do? And does this clip signify that Evans just might have jumped on board with Top Gear, or is he simply making fun of the media? You make the call!

if that’s an indication of new top gear, then no. just no. the 3 boys are rumoured to be bringing out a new show so I think I’ll just wait for that….

Chris Evans and Jason Plato plus Brian Johnson – forget about Top Gear that would be overdrive!
