Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Outside – Team RideTech Hits The Road Again HARD!

Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Outside – Team RideTech Hits The Road Again HARD!

You have seen them at the CAM Challenge East, you have seen them at the Optima Search For The Ultimate Street Car events, you have seen them pounding the pavement at the Goodguys autocross series across the country and Team Ridetech is here to let you know that they have not yet begun to fight! While others may be thinking about winding their racing season down, these guys have put the pedal to the metal and will keep it there until they literally run out of events to attend. That’s what these guys are about.

Between being at events to help people make their own suspensions work better, running their cars to test the functionality of their products, and just having a damned good time, no one does it like RideTech does. If you don’t believe us, check out all of the info below. Between the race results, the customer cars, the new product information, and a really cool program with race engineer Ron Sutton they have it ALL going on!

No Rest for the Wicked

RideTech is Ready to Hit the Road Again

Everyone needs a break in the heat of summer, vehicles and drivers alike; but don’t think we haven’t been busy!  Not only have our great people been keeping things running smoothly and on schedule in every aspect of this business, we’ve also had our hands full on the racing team.  We just heard that Smitty did some hardcore thrashing on the 48-Hour Corvette this weekend, getting the motor checked & freshened up; Greg has the ’69 Mustang on a lift for a fresh powerplant; and we’ve had our hands full making sure everything is clean, fast, and ready to roll on to the next few weeks of events.  We’re really looking forward to the Corvettes at Carlisle event and hope to have several chances to get our octane fix in the upcoming weeks; stay tuned for event results!

These are some of our favorite RideTech-equipped vehicles from this weekend’s social media posts.  Post your car or truck to our Facebook wall for a chance to be featured here!

1963-1967 C2 CORVETTE – FRONT TRUTURN SYSTEM

The New Corvette system offers many advantages over the OEM suspension system… The engineers have put their heart and soul into fabricating a complete suspension design that is a direct bolt-in to the C2 Corvettes. Up front, the task was to increase camber gain and minimize bump steer.
By utilizing the Ridetech “tall drop” spindle and tubular StrongArm control arms with Delrin bushings.  The ride height was also lowered two inches and camber gain was increased to match the requirements of modern tires, the ball joints were updated to a modern style and relocated for increased caster and the correct angle for the lower stance, while the self-lubricating Delrin bushings keep things where they should be without required maintenance.

The TruTurn system reduces bumpsteer to under 0.060” and increases steering response by relocating the inner tie rods and replacing the outer tie rods with Teflon-lined heim joints.  New billet aluminum steering arms are supplied that correct the Ackerman angle which results in a vehicle with amazing turn-in and steering feel.

For more information on the features and benefits of this system, visit our website or call our tech specialists at 812-481-4787!

Where will we be next?  Either racing or displaying, we love to see our fans out and about.  And keep an eye on social media for your chance to win RideTech swag or even an autocross ride-along at these events!
