Ken Box is the brilliant creation of the people who make the Razor Crazy Cart kid’s toy. The Crazy Cart is a go cart with a set of caster wheels that can be applied with the use of a handle which allow the thing to be slid sideways, spun, and generally look like an absolute riot to drive in the right hands. In this case the “right hands” belong to Ken Box a guy who could eat Ken Block’s lunch when it comes to being a boss in a vehicle that can fit inside the packaging of a moderately sized television. This is a sequel to the first Ken Box gymkhana video that came out a couple of years back. This video, like that one highlights the sweetness and the all out fun that can be hand on a Crazy Cart when it is driven to its limit. Plus what isn’t funny about watching a grown man handle a kid’s toy like a complete pro while wrapped in cardboard.
In a nod to Block’s creativity, the foil for Ken Box in this video is a security guard which happens to be a gorilla. The gorilla is bound and determined to stop Ken Box at any cost and ol Ken uses every trick in the book (some of them insanely dangerous, actually) to evade capture. We love the attitude, we love the stunts, and we love the skill shown here. Having fun with a proven concept and doing it in a way which is not only creative but also respectful and cool makes this one rare hunk of footage. Ken Box rules and he may actually rule harder than the real guy!
