This is not what you think. This is not some hacked up old NASCAR stock car that someone slammed seats into and some headlights, welded on some mufflers and then declared it legal. This is the opposite of that and we think the car is pretty damned amazing, if we don’t mind saying ourselves. This is called a Super Street Series and it is built by a company called Jeffrey’s Custom Conversions in New York State. As you can see, this car has license plates on it and it gets driven all over the place. It has a VIN number, it has a radio, it has sun visors, and it has a ZZ383 engine nestled in the nose. It also has a price tag of $69,000 and when you actually look at the details of this car you’ll understand why.
Using a traditional NASCAR truck arm style suspension, the springs and shocks have been replaced with a full compliment of RideTech air ride components. The car has been out for some years now and has appeared at places like SEMA and in a multitude of media sources as well. We have seen guys built street legal stock cars before but nothing on this level that really manages to take a lot of the bad ass race stuff and work it into a package that is actually fit to load humans into a drive distances. Taking this car on Power Tour would be fantastic. At least we think so.
The Ford 9-inch axle has a Detroit Locker in it and as you can see, the dash is full race, the shifter hooked to the Tremec 5-speed is awesome, and we’d have no issues driving the hell out of this car, especially at an autocross or an open track day sometime.
Cool?

Curious how it passes emissions?
It’s actually a hodge podge of parts. It has a 2006 and older chassis, roof and quarter panels with a 2007 and newer Car of Tomorrow hood, fenders and front bumper cover. Air bags with an ungodly spacer on it, butchered roll bar for back seats, a cheap plastic fuel filter as a rear gear vent and tachometer mounted on top of the dash. Certainly not worth $69K, $25K to the right person maybe…
I reckon thats a speedo mounted atop the dash-looks like theres a tripmeter reset button pokin’ out the lens………
Pretty cool! But do me a favor, ok? Please don’t say VIN number, it gives me a headache and it’s redundant. Like ATM machine, etc…
