This is one of those cars that makes you smile and perhaps rub your chin a little bit at the same time. Why? It is an amazingly clean and sanitary Mustang that has been professionally built and cared for like it’s a Ferrari 250 GTO. It has nice 1993 Mustang Cobra wheels, good Saleen bits on the body, and the interior looks like it was borrowed from a display at the Smithsonian. The engine though…hmmm. This car began life as a four banger base model and is now powered by a Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe engine. That’s the supercharged 3.8L V6 for those of you who don’t know what that one is off the top of your head. The car is probably fun to drive but we wouldn’t thing it to be some type of terror on the streets or the strip. It will definitely get people talking at cruises and car shows, that is for sure.

–ENGINE–came out of a low mileage Thunderbird SuperCoupe about 40.000 the cylinder heads were done just to be on the safe side and has crane roller rockers installed 1.7s. all new gaskets, new sensors, and new lower engine bearings, the engine has no wear on it and is intended to be a keeper. Other then that the motor has no other mods to it. Stock wire harness all hooked up and running fine. No Hokey Jokey hook ups done right .
–TRANSMISSION– is out of a 2003 mustang V6 that was not beat, had low miles on it and was a perfect choice for this swap bell housing and all, clutch, throw bearing, flywheel, clutch cable and speedo are stock 5.0 stuff. The clutch quadrant is a Steeda set not the stock plastic. Aluminum drive shaft out of a 1993 Steeda.
–REAR AXEL– is out of a 1995 Mustang GT “SN95″ with new Ford 3.27 gears, seals, bearings and posi track. it has the 1993 Cobra parking brake cables hooked up and working. New rear shocks and quad shocks. New lower control arms, uppers are stock. rear springs are out of 1985 GT.
–BRAKES– Front stock 1993 GT, Rear stock 1995 GT ”SN95”
–EXHAUST– From the engine to the tips is -V6 Ford Headers from a 2003 Mustang, backed by 2 empty cats to 2-1/2 Cherry Bomb Resonators to Thrush Hush Mufflers,We had so many exhaust combos for this swap it was nuts. This one came out the best !
–GAUGES– all gauges are hooked up and working. Gas, temp, Volts, Oil, Even the Check engine light is hooked up too and NO! Its not on. It has no faults in system . The tach needs to be calibrated and the speedo is correct from what I can tell, it does bounce at slow speeds sometimes, not all the time,
–BODY– has only 71.000 on it never been beat original owner was a Girl. Then me, and my Wife. Body is mint !!! The roof has some small dents it it from hail rust so on the body shop did the best they could, but the car is black and it showed. The rest of the car came out so well She is Beautiful and it shows please see pics ! New headlamps. New Taillamps 85/86 style. New lower window body molding both sides. New top roof drip rail moldings. New wipers a year ago. All glass is in nice shape. Door jam molding seals are O.K. THIS HAS THE 1990 SALEEN BODY GROUND EFFECT KIT ON IT ! This tricks a lot of the 5.0 people out there and is fun when that happens, thinking its Cobra ground effects… Stock LX rear wing. FRAME CONNECTORS BOLTED IN .
–WHEELS– 1993 Mustang Cobra New !
! The shifter knob is also from a SC and is new ! Has new headliner. Has the stock cassette player and phone ! I left that for time period looks and gets the WOWs at car shows and a nice converse pice to talk about.
This car was done with Love and care and we have had it for over has 12 years! I DONT really know the Horse Power . . . Maybe. 320 or 340 ??? All i can say it Moves !!! very fast gets out of the Hole and is Geared right ! Puts a smile on your face as you climb her through the gears. Reason for selling, I have so many cars and this one has been sitting in my garage for some time and I am making room for the next one. It hurts me to sell it plus being 100% RELIABLE with no weird crap, because its all Thunderbird Ford Stock and blows the DieHard Ford boys away !!! So I am not DESPERATE. . … IF IT SELLS. . …??? As always with a well thought out job of modifying a car it looks like it came from the factory that way! I’m half way through building a UK Ford Capri Mk1 and I’ll be looking for one of those Supercoupe motors as it’ll drop straight in where that Essex V6 used to sit. It’s even painted high-gloss black and I’ll be looking for some similar wheels – I just hope it turns out half as good as this beauty!
