Well one of the occupational hazards of spending a bunch of time talking into cameras is making mistakes. Those mistakes can come in the form of botched words, botched steps, or in the case of a show about cars, botched driving. This funny video is a MotorWeek blooper reel and while the words are funny, the driving footage is by far the best part.
My kids adore MotorWeek. They watch it like many people watch Game of Thrones. Instead of worrying about white walkers and “Winter” they are interested in seeing how much trunk space a 2017 Ford has. I have no idea why they are hooked so hard on this show. Not because the show is bad, because it isn’t. It is the most straight ahead auto-review show on TV and the damned thing has trooped on for decades, showing no signs of slowing down these days.
In this video you’ll see the perfect diction of John Davis interrupted but you’ll also see some of the less glorious handling moments that the show has captured. The Camaros spinning are pretty good but the high speed Mustang spin, the out of control Fiero, and a Honda that appears to have the handling characteristics of a meth addled chimpanzee.
I guarantee that when I ask my kids tonight what their favorite BS story of the day was, this will be it. I’m telling you, they’re hooked!
I’ve seen funnier things walk by me in the street with their heads buried in their smart phones walking into lamp posts. I wasted 1 minute 20 seconds of my life that I shall never get back watching this crap – so thanks for that BangShift…
