New Product: Total Control Products – Mini-Tub g-Link Rear Suspension Is Just What You Mustang Guys Have Been Waiting For

Mustang enthusiasts rejoice! If you are into 1964-1970 Mustangs then you know that their stock suspension leaves something to be desired, as does the tire and wheel clearance afforded by the factory wheel tubs. Thankfully the guys at Total Control Products, a division of Chris Alston’s Chassisworks, have a great new g-Link Rear Suspension designed to be used with their mini tubs to allow big tires and big traction no matter what the power level you’ve got. Below is all the info from Total Control.

The Mini-Tub g-Link rear suspension from Total Control Products is the quickest route to your modern pro-touring build with high horsepower and substantially larger tires and wheels. Evolving from their familiar line of canted 4-link suspensions, the Mini-Tub g-Link features relocated forward suspension mounts and optional offset frame rails to create an additional 2-3/4″ of tire clearance per side. Due to the increased levels of traction and torque possible with a mini-tubbed vehicle the factory-welded FAB9 rear end housing is highly recommend. However, customers wishing to use their existing Ford 9″ rear end housing can choose to weld-on the control arm brackets using an optional fixture. Billet-steel upper arms and your choice of tubular-steel or billet-aluminum lowers arms feature zero-deflection pivot-ball joints for reliable, precise control of suspension movement. Further suspension choices include splined-end anti-roll bar and VariShock single-, double- or 4-way adjustable coil-over or air-spring shocks to perfectly configure the system for your specific level of performance or stance. Currently applications include ’64-70 Mustangs.

Looks like nice stuff, I’m a fan of CaChassisworks (TCP) parts (have a highly modified 24″ wide front clip on my sbc MGB), their quality is awesome.

I dunno, vintage race mustangs sure get around the track good with the Shelby mod up front and reworked shocks and springs

So its only $5000 for the rear suspension, bare fabbed 9 inch, and wheel tubs lol? Didn’t even bother to add up the complimentary front suspension.

Surely somebody out there can come with an IRS system using the legendary 9inch diff set up seeing that Ford have finally done the same thing on new Mustangs.

Needs a Panhard bar. Nothing particularly special that you couldn’t fab yourself and for far less money.
