Fun In The Snow: Sure We Are Obsessed With the M3 Wagon But It Looks Awesome, Right?!

Fun In The Snow: Sure We Are Obsessed With the M3 Wagon But It Looks Awesome, Right?!

(By Tom Lohnes) –  After not being seen for the better part of a year, people have suspected that BMW killed off their M3 wagon development. Well, 9 months after the teaser was released, the M3 Touring was very obviously spotted doing some skids up in Switzerland.

We know we told you about this car the other day, but seeing it in real life photos and not renderings is even cooler!

For the most part, the M3T looks exactly like a normal 330i or M340i wagon, which are pretty basic looking wagons. Up front, the M3 Touring takes those same nostrils from the normal M3 and its 2-door brother, the M4, and adds them onto an already busy-looking bumper. Expect the M3 touring to make the same 479 horsepower in base trim, and the addition of the competition package bumps that number to 503. If we’re lucky, there will be a 6-speed manual available in this hot wagon, but knowing BMW in 2021, the chance is unlikely. AWD will likely be standard, as this is the more family-friendly M3.

If BMW realizes that we like wagons here in the land of the free, we should see the fast wagon segment actually start to have some substance. Pricing should start at roughly $80,000, and prices rise from there.
