More American Motoring History: We Love These Photos From The Dawn Of The Automotive Age – Fresh Old Stuff

(Photos from Detroit Public Library Digital Collection) – So we’re back with more killer photos from the turn of the 20th century and the vehicles that launched the world’s automotive industry. These photos, like those that have come before have been gleaned from the Detroit Public Library’s massive digital photo vault. In today’s times of self-driving cars, more repressive traffic laws, and other weird stuff happening in the car world, we’re even more obsessed with checking out these old images than ever before. Looking back at the simple and tough machines that shouldered the needs of American commerce and industry back then are cool.

There are some 1960s era images in here as well to balance out all the back and white. Rather than run our mouths about a load of different topics, we’ll invite you to step back into history and enjoy what these photos have to offer. From mountain heights to WWII warehouses, you’re going to enjoy this.
