We have to thank or blame BangShifter Kris Davis for the tip on this Craigslist ad for the ages which features a partially complete “Ferrari” body on what looks to be a Pontiac Fiero chassis. That scene would be rough enough, especially for the $3,000 asking price for the vehicle in its current state but the real kicker is that this machine comes WITH THE BODY MOLDS to make more. You could go into business for yourself replicating this thing and there has to be at least 10 people across the USA who would be in line to buy one, outside of your family members…if they were blind.
We have no doubt that LOTS of work went into making this initial version of the kit car even in its currently incomplete form but we also have no doubt that when it was completed there wouldn’t exactly be an army of people waiting in line to throw money at you for one of their own. Hell, how many Fieros are left to pillage for these purposes. The number has to be dwindling, right? They have not made one of those things in like 20+ years and it isn’t like they were produced in VW Beetle numbers.
Bottom line is this. If you want to provide the automotive equivalent of walking across water WHILE turning water into wine, buy this car, finish it, and then sell replicas of it. If you can do that, we have a job for you waiting at the VW diesel sales department. They are in serious need of miracle workers these days.

I’m not sure how it will turn out when finished, but I’ve got to admit that one was made with a better eye for proportions than most Fiero kit cars.
Someone could buy the molds and literally make dozens of dollars selling to LeMons racers.
When will these idiots learn, everyone who is really into cars, thinks their trying to turn a turd into some kind of “supercar” clone is just plain stupid. You know every one of them thought “I’m gonna make a million dollars selling these kits!”, only to have wasted a bunch of time and money and end up with a warehouse full of crap no one wants.
Exactly!
Especially considering that despite the fact a Fiero is as cheesy and profoundly 1980s as white suits and cocaine, they’re still decent cars and only a few mods from being a really fun car without ruining it with Ferrari-style panels.
What he is doing is turning a turd into a “super” turd!
You could always do the ls swap in a fiero.
I love how the guy has pictures of real testarossas as examples of what the car could look like finished lol
