The Twin Turbocharged Good Luck Charm: This Video Profile Of A Ferrari F40 and Its Owner Rules

I guess this is the day where we share you all the truly beautiful automotive video that we can find, eh? In this video we meet a 1991 Ferrari F40 and its owner, a guy who loves the car, loves driving the car, and loves sharing the car with this family, with his friends, and as it turns out, with famous race car drivers. Artfully made in the style that has made the Petrolicious Channel one of the most “must watch” automotive outlets on YouTube, we see the F40 winding through wonderful roads during the changing of the leaves in the Tennessee fall. There’s a shocking element of this video though, one we never considered.

The F40 sound freaking amazing.

I’m not entirely sure I had ever heard an F40 running, let alone being given the mustard in this way before. Any time I’d ever seen one it was sitting still in a museum, on a magazine page, or in one case as Dave Nutting sat in it while we visited Ken Lingenfelter’s collection. This video features the killer turbocharged V8 sounds that the car makes and boy are they good.

That sounds adds a level of interest for me about this car specifically. I had always assumed it was a screaming loud mouth of an Italian sports car. Nothing wrong with that but now that I hear that it’s more muscle car than F1 car in tone, I’m way more into it.

Lastly, the owner is seemingly a heck of a guy. He’s a well known doctor in his part of the world, has obviously achieved a level of success, but he’s not some smarmy sounding dweeb. No, he understand the car, its functions, and takes it to another level by understanding that the car is also only as cool as who gets to see and interact with it. That’s good stuff.

Press play to see a beautiful look at a great guy and an amazing car –

I had the good fortune to ride in an F40
If you are 5 ft tall or Less then it is as cool as it gets if you are taller than that your head is against the roof and you are looking cock eyed going down the road
    moral of this info is
You don’t care! It is a crazy impressive ride
Jumps around like a nervous water bug until you get some MPH going at around 70-80 it starts to settle in and beg for more–faster you go more stable and secure it feels
The most unique car I have ever been in A BRUTE not refined just a brutal tool for going stupid fast and yes…..they sound like God’s own chariot when you are in there
