Look, I don’t know if we really need to say much more than the title suggests. At a Sportscar Vintage Racing Association meeting at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as while back, Johnny Unser and Al Unser, Jr., strapped into a pair of vintage Camaros during the Vintage Trans-Am race. While the race was on the IMS road course, we’re still talking about two members of American motorsport royalty duking it out on hallowed ground in classic muscle cars in another great video from the SVRA.
To be fair, Little Al clearly is sitting on a rocket ship, passing the field like nothing and running down Johnny. Johnny doesn’t make it particularly easy, but Little Al dispenses of his older cousin and then shakes him off after a few corners. But you wouldn’t expect a two-time Indy 500 winner to take it easy on a family member at Indy, would you?
That video was decidedly too short, Al Jr,s car has that really nice high end built SBC sound, really wonderful, kinda Traco like.
